The benefits of deep fertilizer application

When farmers are planting crops, the fertilizers they apply do not matter how deep or shallow they are. The depth of application of fertilizers is not clear about their interests. According to the practice of many years, the deep application of chemical fertilizer can increase the fertilizer efficiency by 15%-20% than the shallow application, so as to increase the yield. The reasons for its production are:

Deep application can reduce the loss of fat molecules. Some fertilizers (such as nitrate-based fertilizers) are applied to the soil shallowly, and the nitrate ions are not absorbed by the soil colloid and are dispersed between the soil particles. Some soils (such as sand, etc.) themselves have poor adsorption and storage capacity for chemical fertilizers. If it is rainstorm or irrigation, the effective molecules of fertilizers will be lost with water or with the soil surface mud, which will significantly reduce the fertilizer effect. Therefore, the yield of crops will fall. The deep application of chemical fertilizers, because the soil under the soil moves slowly, will be greatly reduced with the loss of water, so that it can be effectively absorbed by crops.

Deep application of chemical fertilizers will reduce the “flying” loss of chemical fertilizers. Some fertilizers (such as ammonium nitrogen fertilizer, urea, etc.) are applied to the soil shallowly. The ammonium nitrogen is easily converted into nitrate nitrogen by the nitrifying bacteria in the soil surface layer. The soil colloid cannot be adsorbed, except for the loss of water movement. Will seep into the lower layer of the soil, become nitrogen and nitrogen oxide "fly" lost to the air, reducing the effect of fertilizer. Especially in places with high direct sunlight, the reduction in fertilizer efficiency is more obvious. After the deep application of ammonium nitrogen fertilizer, there is very little nitrifying bacteria in the soil, which is not easily converted into nitrates that are easily lost by the nitrifying bacteria and is present in the soil to be absorbed by the crops.

The deep application of chemical fertilizer can enhance crop stress resistance. The roots of the crops are all fattening. If the shallow application of chemical fertilizers, the roots of the crops will mostly be concentrated on the surface of the soil. If there is heavy storm, it is possible that the crops will fall. And it does not have the effect of drought resistance. After the deep application of chemical fertilizer, it can attract the root of the crop to the deep layer of the soil, thus greatly enhancing the lodging resistance and drought resistance of the crop.

Deep application of chemical fertilizers can reduce premature aging of crops. For example, crops grown in late rice and low-fertilizer fields often suffer from premature aging due to lack of nutrients. After deep application of chemical fertilizer, it is conducive to the supply of nutrients in the middle and late stages of crop growth, prolonging the vitality and chlorophyll content of crop functional leaves, enhancing photosynthesis ability, and facilitating high yield.
