When it comes to decorating a wooden door, it's one of the most important aspects of the overall home improvement process. To avoid any issues during installation, it's crucial for homeowners to pay close attention to the measurement details and ensure everything is properly planned before the actual work begins.

1. Make sure that the door opening is perfectly vertical and not tilted. The thickness of the left and right walls should be consistent, with the wall end face aligned vertically. If this isn't the case, the door may not fit correctly, leading to uneven gaps between the door frame and the wall or misaligned dimensions.

2. During the measurement, the surveyor will adjust based on the actual size of the opening. The customer must confirm the exact measurements for both production and installation. Different door series have varying structural sizes, so it's important to note where different materials meet—such as between flooring and masonry. This helps prevent the door from appearing to sit on two different surfaces, which can look unattractive and cause functional problems.

3. If the wall dimensions (thickness, width, or height) don’t match the standard measurements, the construction team should prepare the space before installing the finished door. This might involve modifying the wall by adding or cutting, raising or lowering the door frame, etc. Failing to do so could result in the door being installed incorrectly or not fitting at all.

4. If there’s a height difference between the hallway and the kitchen or bathroom floor, the surveyor should determine the correct ground level during the measurement and mark it clearly on the report. The decoration level is the only reliable reference for the final floor height and hole dimensions. Therefore, it's essential to clearly mark the horizontal line during the measuring process to avoid installation errors.

5. When installing the finished door, there should be a 10-25mm gap between the door frame and the opening to allow for proper alignment and adjustment.

6. The threshold stone (also known as the door stone) should be laid before the measurement is taken. If the measurement hasn’t been completed yet, make sure to confirm the size and method with the surveyor to avoid any dimensional mistakes. It must be placed before the wooden door is installed, otherwise, the door height or gap may become problematic.

7. Once the customer or their authorized representative has signed the measurement order and the sales contract, any changes to the door opening size should be immediately reported to the sales team for a new measurement. If the surveyor isn’t notified, the customer must re-sign and confirm the change. However, if the product has already entered production and is fixed, any modifications due to size changes will require rework, which may incur additional costs.

8. A wooden door is considered a finished product. After painting, it cannot be easily modified on-site due to changes in the environment. If there's a small gap between the frame and the wall after installation, the construction team should handle the wall finishing. This is not part of the door installation process and should be done separately.

9. Ten days before the scheduled installation, the surveyor should decide whether a re-measurement is needed to confirm that the site opening has been corrected according to the original measurement sheet. If not, the installation date may need to be postponed.
