1. The root cause of scale formation in circulating water is the increase in the concentration of circulating water. The concentration of calcium and magnesium ions in the water and the concentration of carbonate ions (the product of the two) exceeds a certain value to produce scale. For air-conditioning refrigerant water, it is generally operated in a closed state, and its water loss (water replenishment amount) is very small. It can be roughly considered that the refrigerant circulating water concentration factor is 1, so the refrigerant circulating water is not as easy to generate as the cooling circulating water. 2. From a chemical point of view, the concentration of calcium ions and magnesium ions in circulating water has a great influence on the corrosion resistance of metals (mainly carbon steel). The higher the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions, the stronger the corrosion resistance of the metal, and the smaller the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions, the more easily the metal is corroded. If the user replaces tap water with soft water in the air conditioning refrigerant water system as a supplementary water source, the corrosion rate of the metal of the equipment pipe network will be increased. This judgment can be proved by the fact that the boiler device that uses softened water for a long time, the section of the (iron) pipe that connects the softened water into the boiler is more easily damaged than other tap water pipes, and needs to be replaced frequently.
