Prevention strategy
Prevention and control of armyworms should be carried out to control the occurrence of adult worms, reduce the amount of eggs laid, catch the key control period before the larvae 3 days old gluttony hazard, concentrate the contiguous remedies, isolate and control the local high-density areas, and control the transfer of pests in the field. Closely monitor the general occurrence area, the strategy of timely picking up the points beyond the prevention and control indicators.
Control technology
(1) Prevention and treatment of adults and reduction of spawning. Using the spawning habits, phototaxis, and chemotaxis of adult armyworms, we use insects, sweet and sour liquids, sex traps, insecticidal lamps, etc. to induce adult worms to reduce the number of eggs laid by adults and reduce the density of insects in the field.
1. The grass is the law. Generally, the grass handles with a diameter of 5 cm are inserted, 60-100 per acre, and the grass handles are changed once every 5 days, and the replaced dry grass is burned intensively to eliminate the adult insects.
2. Sweet and sour method. Take 350 grams of brown sugar, 150 grams of wine, 500 grams of vinegar, 250 grams of water, plus 90% of the crystal trichlorfon 15 grams, made into sweet and sour lure, placed in the field 1 meter high to trap the adult armyworm.
3. Sex trapping method. Using a dry trap with a sticky insect attracting core, one rod per acre is hung in the corn field to trap and lay eggs.
4. Insect lamp method. In the mating period of adult mating, place insecticidal lamps in the field, the lights are spaced 100 meters, turn on the lights from 8:00 to 5:00, to trap the adults.
(2) Controlling larvae and reducing harm. In the early stage of larvae, timely spraying and prevention, the larvae were eliminated before the 3rd instar.

2. Early prevention. In the young larval stage, 5% calorie emulsifiable concentrate 4000 times solution, chlorpyrifos No. 1, chlorpyrifos No. 2 or chlorfenapyr No. 3 500-1000 times liquid spray can be used to control the larvae of the armyworm, and the natural enemy is not killed. .
3. Precautions. The application time should be before 9:00 am or after 5 pm on sunny days. If it is rainy, it should be replenished in time. It is required to spray evenly and thoughtfully, and the weeds on the roadside should be sprayed.
(3) Building a lock band to prevent the transfer. It can be blocked by spreading a 15 cm wide strip on the road to which it is transferred; or by adding 75-100 g of 40% phoxim emulsifiable concentrate to the corn field and adding 30 kg of sand to make toxic soil for isolation. .
