On June 4th, Ma Shimin, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, led a team to visit Jiaozuo City to conduct an on-site inspection of the 2013 provincial-level key science and technology projects. Guo Peng, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiaozuo Municipal Party Committee and deputy mayor, accompanied the visit.
According to the information, by 2012, Jiaozuo City had launched six major science and technology projects in Henan Province. These projects have received a total of 17.2 million yuan in special funds from the provincial government, which has driven a total investment of 1.35 billion yuan by the companies involved. Once completed, these projects are expected to generate annual sales revenue of 5.56 billion yuan and contribute 2.98 billion yuan in profits and taxes.
During the same day, Ma Shimin and his team visited two key projects: the processing of 0.6mm ultra-fine hard alloy rods for PCB drill bits in Henan Province, and the research and industrialization project of polycrystalline resin diamond key technology at Henan Feimeng Diamond Industry Co., Ltd. They also conducted field research on the mass production research project of high-quality large single crystal diamonds at Jiao Zuohua Crystal Diamond Co., Ltd., and held discussions with project teams to understand their progress and challenges.
Later, Ma Shimin and his group visited the industrial cluster area of Wuyi County to inspect the development plan for establishing a provincial high-tech development zone within the agglomeration area. The visit highlighted the city's efforts to promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading, as well as its commitment to fostering a more advanced and sustainable economic structure. The provincial government continues to support local initiatives that align with broader national goals for science and technology-driven growth.
