What protective equipment is necessary when welding work?

I. Safety requirements for protective equipment for the eyes and head

(1) To prevent the hazards of arc welding and spark scalding, a light-shielded lens that meets the operating conditions shall be selected in accordance with the requirements of GB 3609.1 "Welding goggles and masks".

(2) There are two types of masks for welders, hand-held and head-mounted. The shells of the mask and helmet should be made of non-flammable or non-flammable insulating materials that are not irritating to the skin. The mask should cover the face and ears. Solid, no light leakage.

(3) Head-mounted masks for various arc welding or ascending welding operations, and the weight should not exceed 560 g.

(4) Auxiliary welders should wear masks and protective glasses that are suitable for shading performance according to the working conditions.

(5) Gas welding and gas cutting operations shall be based on the thickness of welding and cutting workpiece plates, and corresponding protective eyeglass lenses shall be selected.

(6) Welding, cutting preparation, cleaning work, such as grinding welds, welding slag, etc., should use the slag-resistant glasses that are not easily broken into pieces.

Second, the safety requirements of welders overalls

(1) Welders' overalls should be selected according to the characteristics of welding and cutting work.

(2) Cotton canvas overalls are widely used for general welding and cutting work. The color of work clothes is white.

(3) Gas shielded welding Under the action of ultraviolet rays, there are working clothes made of fabrics such as coarse wool or leather when producing gases such as ozone, so as to prevent the welder from being burned or having an increased body temperature during operation.

(4) Welders in all-position welding work shall be equipped with leather overalls.

(5) In overhead welding, in order to prevent Mars and slag from splashing on the head and shoulders from a height, the welder should wear a towel around the neck and wear a shoulder, long sleeves, and apron made of flame-retardant material. And shoe covers and so on.

(6) The overalls worn by the welder should not be wet. The pockets of the overalls should have pocket lids. The upper body should cover the waist. The length of the trousers should cover the upper, and the overalls should not be damaged. Holes and gaps should not be allowed to stain with oil. fat.

(7) Work clothes for welding and cutting operations cannot be made from general synthetic fabrics.

Third, the safety requirements of welders gloves

(1) The welder's gloves should be made of wear-resistant, radiant heat-resistant leather or cotton canvas and leather composite materials. The length of the welder's gloves should not be less than 300mm. To sew, the welder should not wear worn and wet gloves.

(2) When the welder is working in a welding place that may conduct electricity, the gloves used shall be made of an insulating material (or an additional insulating layer) and shall only be used after passing a withstand voltage of 5000V.

Fourth, the safety requirements of welders protective shoes

(1) Welder protective shoes shall have the properties of insulation, heat resistance, non-flammability, wear resistance and non-slip resistance.

(2) Welders wearing rubber shoes with protective shoes should pass a test with a withstand voltage of 5000V. For welding in flammable and explosive environments, there should be no studs on the soles to avoid frictional sparks.

(3) When welding and cutting on the ground with water, the welder should wear waterproof rubber shoes with a withstand voltage of 6000V and qualified.

Fifth, welding, cutting other protective equipment

(1) For welding and cutting work sites, due to arc radiation, slag splashing, affecting the sight line of sight, and arc protection rooms or screens shall be installed, the screen shall be made of non-combustible materials and its surface shall be painted with black or dark gray paint. Should not be less than 1.8m, the lower part should leave 25cm ventilation air gap.

(2) The welder climbs up or welds in a place where falling may occur. The seat belt used in the cutting operation shall comply with the requirements of GB720 and GB721 "Safety Belt". The safety rope hook on the safety belt shall be hung.

(3) The helmet used by the welder shall meet the requirements of GB2811 "Hard Hat".

(4) The tool bag used by the welder shall be free from holes, and the tools commonly used by the welder such as hand hammer slag scraper and wire brush should be firmly connected.

(5) The power cords of mobile lighting fixtures used by welders should be YQ or YQW type rubber jacket insulated cables. The conductors are intact and without damage. The lamp switch has no leakage. The voltage should be determined according to the site conditions or with a safe voltage of 12V. Light bulbs should have metal mesh protection.
