US military develops wearable solar panels: can charge individual equipment

Commander of the US Army Equipment Command, General Dennis Via, said at the US Army Association meeting that Army R&D personnel and scientists are developing the wearable solar panels and other technologies. Soldiers may soon put solar panels on their backpacks and helmets to charge the battery and power the display and other equipment used on the battlefield.

According to Via, the following are current and future R&D initiatives aimed at providing new equipment to soldiers:

The joint multi-purpose technology verification machine lays the foundation for the final replacement of the aging fleet with vertical ascent performance. The purpose of developing this technology is to allow soldiers to fly farther and faster and improve flight efficiency.

The Army's Natick R&D team is working hard to develop a palm-sized reconnaissance plane so that you can see the images in the next room or downstairs hall in real time. This kind of equipment is mainly used in places with poor lighting, indoors or in actual combat situations.

R&D personnel are exploring the technology of turning soldiers into generators, using the devices worn on their military uniforms to capture the kinetic energy generated during the event.

The augmented reality sandbox has a cross-era improvement over the past sandbox in terms of displaying terrain. This sandbox allows warfighters to master the battlefield shape, allowing them to adjust the orientation of the sandbox and adapt to the environment according to their needs.

Via said: "When I saw this sandbox, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was so fascinating."
