Sherex Fastening Solutions Year in Review 2023!
Hey everyone! This year felt like the moment when the shadow of the pandemic finally began to fade. It was a big year for us here at Sherex. We rolled out our top-performing round body rivet nut, Optisert, which has been a hit with our customers. We also got back out there to meet our amazing clients face-to-face more than ever before, and we developed some fantastic solutions to help them tackle tricky fastening challenges.
Optisert Is Making Waves

While calling Optisert the best-performing round body rivet nut might sound like marketing jargon, we've got the data—and now the customers—to back it up. Many assemblers have made the switch to Optisert, and one even opted for the round body design over a potentially expensive transition to hex body rivet nuts. The advantage is straightforward: Optisert offers spin-out performance in composites, plastics, carbon fiber, aluminum, and other soft materials that rivals that of hex body rivet nuts. Spin-out resistance is crucial in countless applications, and traditionally, round body rivet nuts have lagged far behind hex body rivet nuts in this area. With Optisert, if an OEM can't produce a hex hole, they can trust that this fastener will deliver the performance they need.
We've already seen Optisert being used in automotive, heavy truck, and general industrial applications, with more projects on the horizon.

To help OEMs and distributors find the right fasteners for their specific needs, we've introduced two new industry pages and a solutions page for composites. These pages showcase some of the most popular and best-practice fasteners tailored for each application.
