Single Crystal Residual Stress Test and Analysis Technology Seminar Held in Beijing

On December 7, 2009, China Aviation Industry Corporation Beijing Aeronautical Materials Research Institute organized a seminar on single crystal residual stress test and analysis technology in Beijing. The conference was attended by 606, 624, 608 and 410 factories of AVIC. 35 representatives from 430, 170 and 331 factories.
The meeting specially invited Dr. Belassel, a residual stress technologist from Proto Canada, to give a report entitled “Using X-ray Diffraction Technique to Measure the Residual Stress of Cubic Structure Single Crystal Materialsâ€; Researcher Liu Qingyu from 170 Plant did “The Need for Single Crystal Stress Analysis†Report on “Application Prospectsâ€; Director Yang Jian of 430 Factory made a report on “Application of Residual Stress Test on Actual Componentsâ€; Dr. Gao Yukui from Beijing Aeronautical Materials Research Institute made a report on “Test and Analysis Method and Application of Residual Stressâ€. The residual stress test results of samples of anisotropic materials such as single crystal and directional solidification superalloy were analyzed and discussed.
The participants agreed that the residual stress testing technology of anisotropic materials is an important means to promote long-life anti-fatigue manufacturing of key components of aerospace industry engines in China and an important way to control recrystallization. It is necessary to strengthen basic theoretical research and promotion in engineering. application.
