Since the winter of last year, the northern part of Hubei Province has been dominated by low temperature and low rainfall, and winter crops have experienced various degrees of drought and freezing disasters. On February 9th, under the combined action of warm and humid air currents and artificial precipitation in the southwest, Hubei Province generally experienced moderate to moderate rain. The drought in the early Hubei period was moderated, but due to the small amount of precipitation, the drought was not completely relieved.
According to the latest meteorological data analysis, it is expected that there will be a weak precipitation process in Hubei Province from February 17 to 18, with light rain in the north and small to moderate rain in the south. The cumulative rainfall in the process is 1 to 5 mm in the north and 5 to 15 mm in the south. It is expected that in the second half of February, most of the precipitation in the province will still show a trend of less precipitation, especially in the arid areas of northern Hubei. It is less likely to have an effective precipitation process above 20 mm.
At present, the drought in northern Hubei Province has not been completely relieved, and the precipitation in the later period is still relatively low. The rapeseed and winter wheat will enter the rejuvenation growth period, the water demand will gradually increase, and the drought in northern Hubei may be in a development trend. It is suggested to further strengthen the field management of winter crops, do a good job of water storage and conservation, strengthen the fertilization and weeding of wheat and rapeseed, and promote the improvement of the seedlings.
