Making wire rope with Zhongwang CAD

In the latest version of Zhongwang CAD2010, two very useful features have been added to the three-dimensional drawing: sweeping and lofting. This way, when creating a 3D model, there is a better way for complex entity users to complete. This article will mainly use the sweep function of Zhongwang CAD to make a piece of wire rope.

First create a new drawing, draw three straight lines intersecting at 60 degrees on the top view, the three straight lines are the same length, and the intersection point is the midpoint of the line. Draw four equal-sized circles on one side of one of the lines. As shown in the figure below, the circle and the circle are tangent. Pay attention to the size.

Change to another view direction, draw a line perpendicular to the plane of the plan, and hang the midpoint of the three lines on the top view.

Here we will start using the sweep function of Zhongwang CAD. Select the three lines on the plane of the top view as the sweep object, and the path selects the vertical line. Note that because the wire ropes are twisted together, it is necessary to set a degree of distortion. In the sweep command, there is a "twist" option to enter a reasonable value. The entity swept out in this way is as shown below, a bit like a twist.
