Myth 5: Dust masks can be washed and reused

Dust masks are not meant to be washed or reused. The filters in these masks are made of materials that rely on electrostatic charges or fine fibers to trap harmful particles. Washing them can damage the structure of the filter, create tiny holes, and reduce the effectiveness of the mask.
