How to Install Pool Mesh Fencing

1. Measure the positions for the fence posts using a measuring tape and mark each spot with a small black dot on the concrete around your swimming pool. Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions for the correct spacing between posts, as it may vary depending on the kit. For most standard 15-foot fence sections, the recommended distance between posts is typically three feet. Make sure to measure from center to center for each post position. Continue this process all the way around the pool to mark every post location. 2. Insert a 1/2-inch diamond core drill bit into your drill and press down firmly on the concrete surface to create a clean hole. Once the first hole is drilled, replace the bit with a 3/4-inch one and drill the hole to that size. Then switch to a 1-1/4-inch bit and complete the hole to its final depth. This ensures the post will fit securely and remain stable over time. 3. Place a post sleeve into each drilled hole. Insert the metal post into the sleeve and twist it clockwise until it locks into place. Next, attach a metal fence clamp to both the top and bottom of the post, aligning it with the pre-drilled holes in the fencing material. Secure the fence to the post by screwing two screws through the fence and into the post at both the top and bottom. Repeat this process for every post along the entire fence line. Most pool fencing kits come in heights ranging from 3 to 5 feet. Choosing a taller mesh can provide better safety as children grow, so you won't need to replace it later. 4. Attach safety latches to all adjacent fence posts. These latches are designed to prevent the gate from opening accidentally. While designs may vary between manufacturers, they generally clip around the post and secure the gate or panel in place. Ensure all latches are properly installed and tested for smooth operation and safety.
