They are commonly used in low-pressure applications where simplicity and cost-effectiveness are priorities. Nominal diameter (DN) is a standardized measurement used in thermoplastic piping systems to represent the approximate internal or external diameter of the pipe. It serves as a reference for selecting compatible fittings and components. Ring-bending stiffness is a critical parameter that measures a pipe’s ability to resist circumferential deformation under external loads. It is typically measured in N/m² or kN/m² using standardized test methods. Elastic diameter deformation rate refers to the percentage of vertical elastic deformation a pipe undergoes under external pressure relative to its original diameter. This value is determined through crush tests and is essential for evaluating the pipe's long-term performance and durability. By understanding these technical specifications, engineers and designers can make informed decisions when selecting the most suitable pipe type for specific applications, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
