To extend the service life of high-pressure gear pumps, several key maintenance practices should be followed:
1. During installation, it's important to provide hinged supports on the piping when the system is in a cold state. This prevents misalignment caused by thermal expansion after heating.
2. The coupling should only be engaged once the pump has been properly warmed up. This helps avoid excessive torque that could damage the motor or pump components during operation.
